No more Borders!

Most of my rooms had borders put up some years ago, so although the rooms were in need of an upgrade just the thought of taking all of those borders down tired me.  Thankfully, when my son was home he relieved me of that duty.... Not only did he take down the borders he also caulked, primed and painted the moldings for me.  Ummm, perhaps next year I can coax him into putting up some crown molding.  This was a lot of work and I don't need to say how happy I was that he took on the chore, it's amazing how much brighter the rooms look.

Now ready for an upgrade

Living Room w/borders
(I know, maybe I should have waited to paint my brick wall)

WORK IN PROGRESS
It's amazing how much he can knockout with music blasting in his ear (smile)

Everything looks so much brighter; pondering new window treatment

Dining Room w/borders

I'm sure you remember my chandelier from my last posting

Now I can begin working on my "Imagine the Impossibilities Challenge"

When I did my foyer some years ago, I loved this finish!  What was I thinking?

It's all primed and ready to drink up some fresh paint!

Now, all of my walls are without borders, that is with the exception of one, and who knows, maybe by next year I can actually say "I HAVE NO MORE BORDERS!"

Have fun and LET YOUR CREATIVITY FLOW!

Oh- I have done that, too! We have lived in 3 different houses that had borders in just about every room. Not that I didn't contriubute to it!;>) Now you have a blank slate and I'll bet you were thrilled to have your son around for a few days. xo Diana

It's so much work to remove wallpaper and borders, but so worth the effort. Great job, Sherry!

Isn't funny how our tastes change over time? Borders were all the rage at one time. Now you have a fresh start . Can't wait to see where you go with it !

How much does he charge! He's a sweetheart for doing all of that for you.

Yes, I added to the borders craze when it was new and fresh. I blame Laura Ashley, at least in the UK. You've inspired me, though. I might even get some wallpaper pasted up tomorrow.

Baby steps, Sherry. We're all getting there with baby steps!
