La Petite Vase

I've been pretty busy on the job and exhausted by the time I got home, so I haven't posted for a while.  But, here's a vase I wanted to share, a vase I was asked to paint.  I had already based coated it before remembering to take a picture, but it was a plain clear glass vase about 10" in height, with beautiful lines.

I wanted to give it more grace, so I plastered a rose on the front & back; painted it a light olive green & gave it a vintage touch by staining it.

I twined tissue paper around the base to give it more definition

Once finished painting, I dug around in my bag and found a simple silk arrangement to add to it (I doubt they'll keep the arrangement, I just thought it made for a nice touch).

La Petite Vase!

HAPPY EASTER and don't forget to LET YOUR CREATIVITY FLOW!
